Marisa and Mark De Vattimo (a.k.a MDV) moved to Bridgetown in 2017 to escape to the countryside for the lifestyle and with a vision to contribute to the local community. They established MDV School of Music, offering music education to children, teens, and adults. They are also professional musicians in their own right. Their commitment to harnessing local talent has seen students successfully audition for WAAPA and pursue music careers, locally and further afield. Their mission statement is:
"To Build Better Lives through Music".

In addition to the music school, Mark works as a freelance 3D Architectural Illustrator, collaborating with local drafts people and architects. He has also recently been collaborating in design with local business in the tiny house & modular house building movement. Marisa, as a Civil Celebrant, is dedicated to promoting the Southern Forests and Blackwood Valley region as a wedding destination. She works closely with local vendors to create a strong wedding industry, driving tourism and supporting the local economy to only only survive but thrive. "The Wedding Office" coming soon to Bridgetown-Greenbushes!

Together, Mark and Marisa aim to foster a thriving community by supporting the region's cultural and economic growth through music education and performance, design and destination wedding tourism. The aim is to build a community that not only survives but thrives!
