The Regional Prosperity Plan is a bold roadmap for the future of Bridgetown–Greenbushes and the wider Blackwood region. Developed by the Blackwood Chamber of Commerce and Industry in close consultation with local businesses, government, and community stakeholders, the plan lays out a clear vision for building a resilient, sustainable, and thriving regional economy.
At its heart, the plan is about future-proofing our community—ensuring that local businesses have the tools, infrastructure, and opportunities they need to grow, while making Bridgetown–Greenbushes an even better place to live, work, and visit.
The Plan focuses on four pillars of action:
Business Growth & Skills – empowering entrepreneurs and workers through training, mentoring, and digital readiness.
Tourism & Experience – showcasing the unique attractions of our region and building strategies for sustainable tourism.
Infrastructure & Industry – advocating for investment in housing, digital connectivity, and a light industrial area to support new industries.
Celebration & Community – strengthening local pride through events, recognition, and initiatives that connect people and businesses.
The Regional Prosperity Plan is more than a strategy—it is a commitment. A commitment to supporting business innovation, diversifying our economy beyond reliance on mining, and creating opportunities that will protect jobs, our environment, and our way of life for generations to come.
